Patrik Bjurenstål has been fly fishing the south coast of Sweden for 30+ years. Naturally, sea trout is Patrik's favorite target species locally. He has a big passion for nature, fish, and waterways and has made a living out of it by working on projects that remove dams and restore rivers back to their natural state.

What are your biggest passions in fly fishing? " My biggest passion by far is heavy tropical fishing. GT is particularly close to my heart. They are such a rush! "

Vision gear that you can't live without? " I really really like the Merisuola rods. Both old and new."

What are your top 3 flies? "Clouser minnow, shrimp patterns, and general baitfish patterns"

What is your wildest fishing memory? "Catching big GT from the heavy surf zone in the Maldives. Swimming and dodging corals when fighting fish. Pure chaos, and I love it! "
