Nikolaj has been fly fishing since 1995. When not fishing, playing floorball, or doing any of his other hobbies, he is a schoolteacher by trade.  He is an instructor in the Danish Fishing Association and guided for Fishing Zealand. 

Nikolaj loves to fish for sea trout and pike. He also loves to tie flies for both species. 

What are your biggest passions in fly fishing? " It has to be coastal fishing for sea trout here in Denmark. I love to travel and try new places, but there's nothing like home. "

Vision gear that you can't live without? " My #6 Merisuola rod is a must, preferably paired up with the XLS Meri reel. "

What are your top 3 flies?  "Sand/Brown/Olive shrimp fly, Kobbebassen, and a sandeel fly."

What is your wildest fishing memory? "I will always remember the way a roosterfish hits the fly. It's pure chaos! "
