Mikael hails from Denmark, where he works as a sea trout guide. He has been fly fishing since 2007. Mikael spends a lot of time developing fly patterns for his local fishery and has been very successful at it.

Mikael has also lived in Greenland and had the opportunity to experience all the crazy Arctic char fly fishing that place has to offer.

What are your biggest passions in fly fishing? "Sea trout fishing for sure. I love catching them with my own flies."

Vision gear that you can't live without? "XO reels and Merisuola rods. "

What are your top 3 flies?  "Gammarus (Kobberbassen), my own dark shrimp pattern, and a Flatwing."

What is your wildest fishing memory? "Catching more than 60 Arctic char in a single day on the Robinson River in Greenland. An unforgettable experience in one of the most raw and beautiful environments in the world"
