Jyrki is a fanatic sea trout and salmon fly fisherman. He has vast experience in all aspects of fly fishing, but for the last ten years he has almost solely focused on sea trout and salmon. 

Jyrki spends most of his salmon fishing days on the rivers that flow into the northern Baltic. He loves to camp out in the nightless nights of the north and tell stories of the big salmon they encountered over the campfire.

What are your biggest passions in fly fishing? " Its salmon and then sea trout. I do a bit of trout, grayling, and pike fly fishing, but the two foremost mentioned are the main thing for me. "

Vision gear that you can't live without? "XO reels and the old XO rods. I also love my old Venus rod and use my Subzero socks all the time."

What are your top 3 flies? "The small brown thing..., surfboard and Tussukka."

What is your wildest fishing memory? "Landing 6 big salmon in one day was special. The landed fish were 90-107 cm long, and I lost loads of big fish as well. It doesn't get better than that. "
