Jari started fly fishing 25 years ago. He specializes in brown trout fishing but is an avid fisherman for pretty much everything. The love for nature and fishing keeps him on the water just about all year round.

Jari is a merited competition fly fisherman and has been a part of Team Finland for a number of years. He won a gold medal with Team Finland at the 2021 Fly Fishing World Championships and also earned a silver medal in the individual competition at the same event.

What are your biggest passions in fly fishing? " It has to be brown trout fishing. Watching fish feed in the middle of the night under the midnight sun is magical.  "

Vision gear that you can't live without? " For brown trout, I love Nymphmaniac TwinTip rods. I also like the Hero rods when I'm using streamers. For reels it has to be the XLV lineup. "

What are your top 3 flies?  "Jarpan Kettu, CDC caddis, and the PT nymph."

What is your wildest fishing memory? "My wildest memory has to be hooking up to a 112 cm Atlantic salmon. It just kept on pulling line. Simply amazing! "
