Jan works for Hurch FlyFishing, which is the major European distributor for Vision. Jan takes care of the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Austria, and Switzerland as a sales rep. He started in 2016 with a sponsorship and in 2017 started working full-time. 

Jan is the head guide for Hurch FlyFishing and has been guiding for 12 years now. Mainly targeting grayling, brown trout, and rainbow trout. He also hosts trips around the world focusing on SW fly fishing and on salmon.

What is your thing in fly fishing, or do you fly fish at all? " I'm totally obsessed with saltwater fly fishing. Especially sight fishing for GTs, triggerfish, milkfish, bonefish, permit, tarpon, and many, many other species. My biggest freshwater passions are Danube salmon and Atlantic/Baltic salmon."

What are your top 3 flies?  "Pheasant Tail Nymph, CDC Sedge, and Clouser Minnow."

All-time favorite Vision products?  "I love the XO Graphene, XO III Graphene, and Merisuola Graphene rods. My favorite reels are the old XLB reels and the current XO and XLV reels. My favorite piece of wading gear is the Nahka wading shoes; they are very durable and comfortable. Last but not least, the Hybrid jacket, which has traveled with me all around the world and is very light and versatile."
