DAVID GARCÍA FERRERAS
David García Ferreras is a passionate fly angler from Spain who has dedicated his life to the sport since first picking up a fly rod at the age of fourteen. While trout has always been his main target species, David’s passion for fly fishing has taken him around the world in pursuit of a wide variety of fish and unforgettable experiences on the water.
Over the years, David has established himself as one of Spain’s most accomplished competitive fly anglers. Representing Spain in numerous World and European Championships, he has earned several individual and team medals at the highest level of international competition. The pinnacle of his career came in 2018, when he captured gold at the World Championship in Italy, an accomplishment so meaningful that a street in his hometown was later named in his honor.
David was very influential on the development of the Nymphmaniac rod series.
Today, David has retired from competition and now works as a fishing guide and instructor. He has coached several national teams in preparation for World Championships and has held clinics in multiple countries, sharing his knowledge and competitive techniques with both anglers and top-level competitors.
