Arto is a fly fishing and fly tying fanatic from Finland. He has spent 25+ years chasing dreams that rarely come true (his words) but has enjoyed every last minute of it. He fishes for pretty much everything that has a tail and enjoys being in nature. Arto is an avid videographer and makes excellent videos about his wild adventures with a fly rod in hand.

Arto loves fly tying and spends most of the winter months locked up in his man cave tying flies and having a beer or two. 

What are your biggest passions in fly fishing? " I love all sorts of fly fishing, but if I had to choose one, it would most likely be pike fishing. The opportunities for pike fishing here in Finland are endless. "

Vision gear that you can't live without? " I love the Hero range of rods. Dry Hero 8' #4, Nymph Hero 10' #4, and Onki 9'6" #7. For pike fishing, I don't leave the house without my 9' #9 Meri rod."

What are your top 3 flies?  "White flashy dragon tail fly, Red & Black flatwing, and generic black streamer"

What is your wildest fishing memory? "Hooking eight good-sized Baltic salmon in one session is something I will remember for the rest of my life."
